I worked alongside local community artist and mentor Niki Johnson to design a window graphic for Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin’s Water Street location, with a focus on brand consistency, clarity, and emotional impact. Using Nova Czarnecki’s imagery "Inheritance" as the visual anchor, I made intentional design decisions around color, tone, and supporting graphic elements to reinforce PPWI’s well-established brand recognition while continuing to build trust within the community.
Through a collaborative and iterative process, we explored multiple design directions before refining two final concepts for presentation to the Water Street staff. One concept leaned into a familiar, calming blue palette inspired by the previous window design that many visitors had grown to love. The second introduced a warmer, brighter palette, offering a fresh, bold, and empowering feeling while remaining grounded in PPWI’s visual identity.
The final design selected balances continuity and renewal, creating a welcoming, public-facing graphic that feels both comforting and forward-looking. This project strengthened my experience in collaborative design, iteration, and creating work that thoughtfully serves a real-world community and audience, aligning closely with my values as a designer.
